Reliable flow metering:

GFA 202 ultrasonic flow meters are designed for reliable flow metering of natural gas, biomethane, H2+NG mixtures and other gases. Measurement accuracy is better than 1.0% for flow range Qt to Qmax and better than 2.0% for flow range Qmin to Qt.

Straight pipes required:

These meters should be installed with 10xDN straight pipe run with standard Zanker type flow conditioner before the meter and 3xDN straight pipe run after the meter, OR, with 5xDN straight pipe run with flow conditioner EFSFC-V3 before the meter and 3xDN straight pipe run after the meter.

Since the requirements for straight runs are similar to those for mechanical meters, GFA202 meters are the optimal solution for replacement of mechanical meters in existing metering station without the need for any modifications.

Available in different sizes:

GFA202 meters can measure flow speeds as high as 40 m/s which allows for rangeability 1:250. The meters are serially manufactured for line sizes 50 mm up to 600 mm and with flow rating range G100 (Qmax=160 m3/h) to G25000 (Qmax=40000 m3/h). Larger sizes can be supplied under order.

Electronics:

GFA202 meters have an integrally mounted electronics unit with local graphical display which also provides for configuration and servicing of the device in-situ. The meters have 2 user configurable LF/HF pulse outputs and a serial RS485 port for digital communication (MODBUS RTU). Besides these, the meters can be supplied with 2 discrete outputs and an additional RS 485 port or a 4…20 mA current output.

GFA202 meters operate from external 12 VDC power and can also be supplied with integral batteries for autonomous operation. The minimum battery life time is 5 years.

Certified for hazardous area:

GFA 202 meters are certified for installation in hazardous locations (zone 1, 2; gas group IIC) and are tested for pressure containment at manufacturer’s facilities with test pressure 1.5 times the maximum operating pressure. Factory calibration of meters is carried out after fabrication on air at ambient conditions. GFA 202 meters can also be supplied with integral PTZ volume correction feature with integral pressure and temperature measurement.

GFA202 meters are certified as per the applicable EU Directives MID, ATEX and PED

Installation Requirements

Flange to Flange size of all GFA 202 meters is 3 x DN (Exception : GFA 202 DN50 meter with integral batteries has flange to flange size 250 mm)
