Product Description

This is a modification of the LF series designed specifically for high pressure applications. The meter has a wafer type inline section with special design in order to protect the ultrasonic transducers from direct impact of the medium pressure.

It is possible to measure the flow of liquids / slurries at maximum process pressure 25 MPa and 40 MPa.

The meter can be supplied with an integral or remote electronics Unit. For Ex applications, only remote installed Electronics Units can be used.

For applications where the medium pressure is very high, eg. measuring the flow of stratal water or injection of fluids into wells , we have developed the model LFH – a single channel, wafer type ultrasonic liquid meter where the inserted sensors are not subjected to the process pressure. The device can be used for bidirectional measurement of flow of mediums at pressure as high as 40 Mpa. 

These Liquid Flow Meter LFH are available in two versions – with an integrally mounted Electronics unit with display and keyboard or with a standard remotely installed Electronics unit of the LF series.

The integrated Electronics units have a built-in battery which provides full autonomous functionality for more than four years, 

The LFH Liquid Flow Meter are widely used in the downstream applications in the Oil & Gas industry, eg. at extraction wells since they are rugged and can handle aggressive liquids at such high pressure. They are also used for applications like cementing of wells and measurement of flow of chemicals injected into wells at high pressure.

The flow meters of the series are manufactured in various versions for application over a vast range of process conditions:

  • for pipelines  DN 50; DN 80; DN 100 – available for liquid pressures as high as 400 bar
  • for flow speed range  0.1 m/s ….. 10 m/s
  • for ambient temperatures as low as -35 deg. C and as high as +70 deg. C and at 100% humidity
  • for liquid temperatures in the range of -20 deg.C up to 150 deg.C
  • in hazardous areas and hard to access locations
  • Wafer type design for quick and easy installation
